We are actively seeking a dynamic and strategic Industrial Automation Solutions Consultant (Channel) . The ideal candidate will have a strong consultative selling mindset, extensive experience working with strategic partners to promote and increase sales of sensors, components, and machine automation controllers. The Channel Automation Sales Consultant will lead efforts to exceed sales targets at assigned channel partners, collaborating closely with distribution sales teams, customers, application engineers, and marketing teams to ensure seamless execution and impact. This role aims to expand our presence at specific partner locations, requiring proven success in enterprise-level consultative selling to Fortune 1000 OEM and End Users in automation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a customer advocate, understanding their objectives, pressures, and challenges to enhance experience.
  • Recommend Omron solutions and services to create value and achieve customer outcomes through professional consultative selling.
  • Drive revenue and product growth at channel partners, meeting or exceeding sales goals.
  • Meet or exceed KPIs aligned with business objectives.
  • Manage CRM and performance reviews to ensure goal accountability.
  • Identify and focus on customers aligned with our industry strategy.
  • Employ a consultative sales approach, understanding customer pressures to develop solutions.
  • Continuously learn industry trends and Omron solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and partners to develop customer-centric solutions.
  • Provide leadership during sales processes to address customer needs.

Requirements

  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Technology, Sales, or related field; relevant experience may substitute.
  • At least 3 years of application solutions sales experience with OEM and End-User customers or completion of Omron Sakura Program.
  • Energetic, aggressive, and focused with leadership qualities.
  • Proactive in self-development and industry knowledge.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, embracing solution-selling methodologies.
  • Motivated, financially driven, with a sales-oriented mindset.
  • Good organizational skills, ability to multi-task, and work cross-functionally.
  • Experience with industrial automation solutions (PLC / HMI, Motion Control, Robotics, etc.) preferred.
  • Willing to travel up to 30% and spend 80% of time in the field.
  • The annual salary range is $70,000 - $124,000, with potential bonuses, depending on location and experience. We encourage diverse candidates to apply, even if they don't meet every qualification. Omron is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
