Senior IT Project Manager

The Senior IT Project Manager is a client-facing service role, primarily accountable for managing all aspects of the project lifecycle from initial intake to closing, reporting to the Director of the IT Project Management Office (PMO). The Senior IT Project Manager works with fellow members of Barnard College Information Technology (BCIT), other administrators within the College, and external vendors to manage project deliverables. The Senior IT Project Manager has additional leadership responsibilities, and supports BCIT's transition to an agile IT organization. This position will be hybrid, with on-site presence as required by project needs.

Duties & Responsibilities :

• Drive large project efforts from initial intake to product deployment :
• Work with clients and BCIT leadership to assess strategic alignment, effort and risk level of new project requests.
• For approved projects, support team formation and facilitate development of a common vision, initial scope, release plan and communication plan.
• Lead project team through business analysis activities to elicit requirements, identify risks, manage stakeholders and prioritize work.
• Foster a collaborative environment between Barnard clients, BCIT resources, vendor resources and other IT groups. Coordinate all activities to successfully design, document, develop and deploy project deliverables.
• Serve as the single point of contact for all assigned project-related activities (project deliverables, risk & issue management, change management, escalation, scheduling meetings, etc.). Coordinate procurement activities as needed.
• Monitor project progress and facilitate resolution of issues with vendors and key stakeholders (administrators, faculty, students) through the appropriate escalation channels. Conduct retrospectives for continuous improvement.
• Manage project budget, change orders, and invoicing.
• Facilitate the transition from project to operations and collection of lessons learned.
• Throughout the project lifecycle, create and maintain project documentation and keep information current in the BCIT project portfolio management software.

Salary Range : $110,000 - $115,000

The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the College's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
