We are actively searching for Technical Writer Skill Level 2 , located in Maryland , to support our team. We have varying levels of this position, depending on years of experience and education.
Essential Job Duties
- Responsible for the preparation, review, revision, and maintenance of technical documents including SW and systems engineering, system operations, testing, and user documentation. Write and edit technical documentation for all of the project's HW and SW to include installation, configuration and how-to documentation. Create code documentation for SW; produce implementation guides and end-user guides for capabilities; provides field, data definition, and data flow documentation and formats technical publications from pamphlets, technical drawings, and consultations with technical personnel and other available resources.
The Level 2 Technical Writer shall possess the following capabilities :
Assist in preparing and maintaining operations documentation, user guides and manuals and technical publicationsGather technical information, prepare written textMaintain a current internal documentation libraryUse multiple word processing and presentation tools such as MS Word, PowerPoint, and Visio etc.Prepare and maintain operations documentation, user guides and manuals and technical publicationsWork with developers to produce quality documentation and training materialsWork on all phases of documentationUnderstand basic concepts (to include basic grammar concepts), and write technical copy for various types of documents for a program / project of similar complexityPrepare reports, responses, and briefings targeted to a wide range of audiencesCoordinate layout and design of documentsResearch highly technical subject matter, organize information from multiples sources, and express technical information in written form that is comprehensible to a wide audience of readersApply concepts for technical writing based on engineering drawings, technical information from engineering documentation, consultations with engineers and subject matter experts, and other available sourcesProduce defense acquisition documentation, user manuals, training manuals, and other documentation utilized by the end-user community of DoD electronic equipment and systemsInterpret engineering and maintenance drawings, operational procedures to understand and blend large quantities of computer related informationProduce technical documentation for Cryptologic programs or projects developing analytic tradecraft methodologiesAbility to create, update and monitor Sharepoint, Confluence, and / or similar technology toolsRequired Qualifications
6 years experience as a TW on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.Bachelor's degree in a technical or business discipline from an accredited college or university is required.In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, 4 years of additional TW experience may be substituted.Company Perks

The pay range for this role is :
110,550.59 - 135,550.59 USD per year(PTC - MD)
Compensation details : 150000-200000 Yearly Salary
