As a Licensed Therapist, you will be instrumental in providing high-quality behavioral health services to individuals with substance use disorder and co-occurring disorders in a residential and detox addiction treatment setting. Reporting to the Clinical Director, your role will involve conducting patient assessments, developing treatment plans, and delivering evidence-based therapies, including cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing. Your core skills in patient care and medical documentation, along with premium experience in crisis intervention and group therapy, will enhance the therapeutic process. You will also ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations while fostering a supportive environment for clients facing substance abuse and mental health challenges.
Key Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with the Assistant Program Manager, Clinical Director, Case Manager, and Nursing staff to provide superior client care.
 - Continuously monitor clients to assess their well-being, progress, and any potential concerns.
 - Provide individual, group, and family therapy using evidence-based approaches such as CBT, DBT, and Motivational Interviewing.
 - Facilitate educational groups focused on addiction recovery, coping strategies, and relapse prevention.
 - Supervise and support clients, assisting in problem-solving and crisis intervention as needed.
 - Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with agency, county, state, and federal regulations.
 - Assist in client transportation as needed for appointments and other essential services.
 - Work collaboratively with program staff to create a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment.
 - Attend all required agency meetings and training sessions to ensure professional development and compliance with policies.
 - Ensure the highest level of service and care is provided to clients and their families while maintaining compassion, empathy, and professionalism.
 - Uphold confidentiality standards in compliance with HIPAA and all applicable federal and state regulations.
 - Adhere to agency policies, procedures, and codes of ethics and conduct to maintain professional integrity.
 - Ensure a safe and clean environment by following established safety and housekeeping standards.
 - Stay informed on relevant laws, regulations, and best practices governing addiction treatment services.
 
Qualifications :
Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.Active state licensureExperience in addiction treatment and / or mental health counseling in a residential or detox setting preferred.Strong understanding of co-occurring disorders, trauma-informed care, and relapse prevention.Ability to work in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment.Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills.Commitment to ethical practice, professional integrity, and ongoing learning.Compliance : First Aid / CPR certification is required. Ability to regularly pass a drug screening and background check. TB testing annually.Working Conditions :
Work primarily in the residential treatment facility, including client living areas, common areas and offices.Occasional travel may be required for off-site appointments and activities.Shifts may vary, including evening, overnight, weekend, or holiday shifts.Interaction with clients in various stages of recovery and with different needs.Company Description
