Position : Sales Representative

The purpose of the Sales Representative is to assist the General Manager with new membership sales by bringing new members to the studio, building a relationship, providing a positive experience, and successfully moving them through the sales process to a membership sale. The Sales Representative also assists with retaining and providing unmated customer service to current members. Boutique fitness knowledge or experience is preferred, but not required. Looking to fill morning shifts M-F 8am-2pm and evening shifts M-F 4-8pm plus weekend rotation.

Responsibilities :

  • Execute sales process of lead generation, follow up, and close
  • Conduct tours of the facility while establishing a relationship and targeting individual's goals and needs
  • Maintain acceptable level of personal sales production
  • Emphasize and enforce objectives of the club as a fitness and wellness provider
  • Present available services to current or prospective members
  • Book quality appointments to achieve monthly sales quota
  • Participate in special events (health fairs, grand openings, marathons, and community and hospital events) to promote the club
  • Assumes responsibility for developing selling skills
  • Process accurate cash and credit card transactions
  • Follow up & follow through activities with prospective clients
  • Input inventory for retail clothing and other items
  • Attend and complete all relative training programs
  • Take pictures for social media platforms
  • Light cleaning of the retail area, studio, and restrooms
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements :

  • Excellent sales, communication, and customer service skills required
  • Warm welcoming and engaging personality
  • Ability to build strong customer relationships
  • Goal-oriented with an ability to achieve sales in memberships, retail, and private training
  • Self-motivated and takes initiative
  • Ability to learn and use the ClubReady software system
  • Must have excellent communication skills via in person, phone and email
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Must have proficient computer skills
  • Authorization to work in the United States required

  • The perfect candidate would be available to work 2-3 shifts per week. With availability from 8am-2pm for the morning shift and / or 4pm to 8 : 30pm for the evening shift. Mostly evenings are preferred. Rotating weekend shifts 7 : 00am-2pm. Non negotiable. Entire team rotates weekends. Compensation starts at $12.50 / hr with a Free Membership to the 3 RVA Pure Barre studios, plus bonus' and commission! We're looking for the long term - someone who can work independently within a sales-heavy environment, who has an outgoing personality, who enjoys talking with people, and must have phone etiquette with eagerness to learn and promote all things Pure Barre. We do not make COLD calls (calls to people who did NOT request it / click an ad). We obtain peoples info because they provide it to us. This is a sales position, there is always something to be doing - no down time, you are not just a body at a desk. We are a very busy studio. We set goals on a monthly basis and reaching those goals is important to the health of the studio (keeping our doors open). You will be expected to make a minimum of 20 phone calls per shift to prospective members, along with emails and texting. Along with the responsibilities of booking and selling to prospective clients, it is also to handle basic member issues and utilize a POS system when they wish to buy retail. Due to COVID19 - beyond the basic tasks of this job the most important is the health and safety of every person who walks in the door - an additional job duty was added to the hourly position of the barretender / sales team member and that is effective cleaning of the studio and its counterparts - including but not limited to - all used equipment, barres, floors, hard surfaces, and bathrooms. The perfect candidate would need to understand the importance of cleanliness and sanitation, as well as being able to perform this duty in an executed manner for the turn over of class times. All it takes is a little hustle and a routine- which you would be trained on.
