Licensed Vocational Nurse - Specialty General Surgery

Join our dedicated team as a Licensed Vocational Nurse, where you will provide essential care to clinic patients under the guidance of physicians or registered nurses. This role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population, ensuring high standards of care while performing various lab procedures as needed.

Responsibilities :

• Carry out basic patient care tasks under physician direction, such as obtaining vital signs, weighing patients, and collecting specimens including phlebotomy.
• Support health providers in patient examinations, treatments, and procedures, while ensuring smooth patient flow throughout the clinic.
• Manage phone communications, record messages, and assist providers with patient-related inquiries.
• Help schedule appointments for tests, manage result follow-ups, and handle pre-certifications.
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation regarding patients' care and progress.
• Assist providers with medication refills and ensure timely administration of medications / immunizations following provider orders.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of exam rooms, properly clean equipment, and order necessary supplies while maintaining sterile techniques.
• Perform routine clerical tasks such as locating patient charts, filing documents, and completing forms.
• Participate in required meetings and in-service training, and undertake additional duties as assigned.
