Compensation Overview

The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.

Salary Range $96,400.00 - $159,100.00

Opportunity

Software Quality Engineers work with teams and the Engineering community to evolve our approach to test automation and the tooling used to ensure software is of high quality. With a strong understanding of the desired approach to ensuring quality, they partner side by side with Software and Data Engineers to analyze complex software systems, current quality practices, frameworks, and tools to identify opportunities for improvement in software quality. They work in partnership with engineers to implement those improvements.

What Will You Do?

  • Develop the QA roadmap to establish strategic direction of QA work for our platforms.
  • Develop and expand our test automation framework and test coverage including integration to our continuous delivery (CI / CD) process thereby enabling agile process.
  • Develop working knowledge of the entire application stack of CIAM flows including tests at all levels. (Unit, Integration, and End-to-end). Testing frameworks include but not limited to Playwright, WebDriver IO etc.
  • Groom and prune tests at all levels to ensure optimal coverage and effective deduplication.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Software Engineers, Data Engineers, and with the wider product and development team to understand how new features should be tested and to contribute to automated tests for these new features.
  • Collaborate with engineers to define and implement mechanisms to inject testing earlier into the software development process.
  • Identify, share, and nurture the adoption of best practices in code health, testing, testability, and maintainability. You should champion clean code and the concept of the test pyramid.
  • Analyze complex software systems and collaborate with others to improve the overall design, testability, and quality.
  • Strive for the fastest feedback possible. Test parallelization should be a top priority. You see distributed systems as a core challenge of good test automation infrastructure.
  • Configure automated tests to execute reliably and efficiently in CI / CD environments.
  • Track and communicate test results in a timely, effective, and automated manner.
  • Work within guidelines set by team to independently tackle well-scoped problems.
  • Seek opportunities to expand technical knowledge and capabilities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?

  • Three years of programming / development experience preferred
  • 1-2 years of experience developing automated test suites using programming languages
  • Knowledge of Generative AI (GenAI) or Copilot for automating test case creation
  • Three years of experience in Jira and Jira Xray for creating test plans and test cases
  • Two years of experience with Playwright or WebDriver IO automation framework
  • 1-2 years of experience in API testing
  • Must Have

  • Bachelors degree or its equivalent in work experience.
  • One year of programming / development experience.
