As a Children's Social Worker, you will directly serve children and families experiencing homelessness or trauma by providing trauma-informed case management, social-emotional support, resource linkage, and advocacy. Through holistic and Christ-centered care, you will help children thrive in safe and nurturing environments and assist parents in building supportive, stable foundations.
We are looking to hire a Licensed Children's Social Worker. Someone who has an active LMSW or LCSW.
The salary range for this role is inclusive of 2 levels of credentials : Associate License earned (LMSW) and Full Clinical License earned (LCSW).
Please note that we determine a compensable starting rate based on Education, Licensure, and Experience
Essential Duties And Responsibilities :
Assessment & Intake
- Conduct social work assessments for children post-parental intake.
- Review and analyze documentation to determine appropriate service needs.
- Build rapport with children and parents to ensure comfort and trust.
- Develop individualized service plans tailored to the child's developmental and emotional needs.
Case Management
Provide ongoing case management, care coordination, and advocacy for children.Collaborate with schools, clinicians, and external agencies to ensure continuity of care.Maintain regular contact with families to monitor progress and adjust services accordingly.Advocate for children's access to educational, mental health, and recreational resources.Support Services & Counseling
Facilitate or refer to psychoeducational and therapeutic programs.Support children through trauma-informed practices, addressing emotional and behavioral concerns.Provide parent coaching, emphasizing child development and positive discipline.Deliver evidence-based support and counsel as appropriate to support emotional healing.Provides support during school break campsProvide transportation support when neededDocumentation & Compliance
Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential records in alignment with legal and organizational policies.Complete necessary consent forms, case notes, progress reports, and discharge summaries.Input data into internal systems to track service utilization and client outcomes.Crisis Intervention & Aftercare
Provide crisis intervention as needed to ensure child and family safety.Assist in discharge planning and development of aftercare support.Establish follow-up mechanisms to support long-term child well-being and stability.Qualifications

Education & Licensure
Licensure (or active pursuit of licensure) is required for this role. All candidates and employees must remain in good standing with the State Board of Professional Counselors and be eligible to practice-either under approved supervision or with full licensureMaster's Degree in one or more of the following : Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work or a related field that supports the requirements set by the State Board of Professional CounselorsNew hires have 90 days to furnish the acceptance of their application for licensure from the state.On-site supervision is provided & employees in a licensed social worker position have 3 years to become fully licensed.Experience
1-3 years of experience in social services, child welfare, or trauma-informed careKnowledge of child development, trauma, and family systemsProficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic case management systemsStrong interpersonal, advocacy, and crisis response skillsPhysical Requirements :
Must have the ability to remain in a stationary position (standing, sitting and / or walking)Must have the ability to constantly operate a computer and other office equipmentMust be able to communicate accurate informationMust be able to occasionally lift up to 25lbsSpecial Job Requirements :
