As a Security Officer - Healthcare Roving Patrol in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed patrol professional with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help maintain a secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff. What You'll Do :
- Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
- Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
- Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Responsibilities :
Provide customer service to clients, patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help maintain order within the healthcare environment.Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.Observe and report any irregularities, such as property damage, suspicious activity, or unusual circumstances, to Allied Universal management and / or client representatives.Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials, and helping to direct visitors as needed within the healthcare location.Support emergency preparedness efforts by participating in drills and providing guidance during evacuations and other emergency situations at the healthcare facility.Maintain detailed and accurate records of activities, observations, and incidents as required by Allied Universal and the client.Collaborate with medical staff and other personnel to help to address security-related concerns and promote a welcoming environment.What We're Looking For :

A minimum of 2 years of security-related experience is required.CPR certification is preferred.Experience with access control and / or badge systems is preferred.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.Why Join Us :
