Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Med Surg Discipline : RN Start Date : 10 / 23 / 2025 Duration : 5 weeks 36 hours per week Shift : 12 hours, nights Employment Type : Travel Job ID 34260478 Registered Nurse - Med / Surg (Night Shift | Travel Contract) Facility : United Health Services (UHS) - New York Contract Length : 6 Weeks Shift : 12-Hour Nights (36 hrs / week) Start Date : As soon as credentialed Guaranteed Hours : 36 per week Unit : Adult Medical / Surgical Key Requirements : Required Experience : Adult Med / Surg RN experience Current NY RN License BLS (AHA, Red Cross, or HSI) Minimum 6 months-3 years RN experience Epic experience preferred (training may be offered) Preferred : Med / Surg Peds experience PALS Certification Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Professional certification in related specialty Responsibilities : Manage and coordinate care for a group of patients on a Med / Surg unit Conduct assessments, planning, delegation, implementation, and evaluation of patient care Educate patients and families on health promotion and disease management Administer medications safely and per protocol Maintain compliance with NYS Nurse Practice Act, ANA Standards, and UHS policies Participate in shared governance, quality improvement, and peer review initiatives Support orientation of new hires and clinical students Stay engaged in continuing education and evidence-based practice Additional Information : Epic Experience Questions for Submission : When was the last time you used Epic, and for how long?
