Start Date : Approximately 2 months

Shift Hours : Monday Friday with three tours (no shift >

8 hours)

Tour 1 : 6 : 30 AM 3 : 00 PM

Tour 2 : 10 : 00 AM 6 : 30 PM

Tour 3 : 3 : 30 PM 12 : 00 AM

How many shifts needed per month : Based on full-time 40-hour workweeks; coverage distributed across three tours (13 FTEs total, 27,040 annual hours).

License : Any state license works.

Education : High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited Sterile Processing or Surgical Technology program preferred.

Experience : Minimum of 2 years of current Sterile Processing experience with CRCST or equivalent certification. Candidates without certification must have at least 5 years of verifiable hands-on SPS experience within the past 10 years.

Certifications : CRCST (IAHCSMM / HSPA).

Special Skills needed :

Knowledge of aseptic techniques, sterilization, and infection prevention

Skilled with steam and chemical sterilization (e.g., Sterrad, HLD systems)

Familiarity with surgical / clinical instruments and specialty sets

Ability to read and follow OEM Instructions for Use (IFUs)

Physical stamina for prolonged standing, lifting, and PPE use

Strong attention to detail, organization, and teamwork

Responsibilities : Clean, assemble, sterilize, and distribute reusable medical equipment per VA and OEM standards; operate autoclaves and HLD systems while maintaining QA documentation; inspect and maintain instrument integrity and case carts.
