Position Summary

We all face challenges in life that can test our faith. Its our Chaplains responsibility to help our Airmen persevere through these and stay on course.

These religious ministry professionals provide pastoral care and counseling to those of all faiths to make sure our Airmen stay spiritually resilient.

They also advocate for Airmen and consult with leadership on moral, ethical and quality-of-life issues if they arise.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Support the spiritual health of Airmen, regardless of their beliefs.
  • Conduct services specific to your faith.
  • Spiritually advise Airmen of all ranks on matters ranging from family counseling to deployment.
  • Defend and support our Airmens freedom to practice their faith.

  • Up to a $10,000 bonus with a three-year contract paid over three years (dependent on member meeting all eligibility requirements based on IAW Air Force policy and law)

Qualifications

  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • Bachelors degree from an accredited institution with a minimum of 120 semester hours
  • Master of Divinity or equivalent theological degree with no less than 72 hours from an accredited institution
  • Receive an Ecclesiastical Endorsement from a DoD-recognized endorser.
  • Meet medical and physical fitness standards.
  • No convictions by courts-martial or by civilian courts (except for minor traffic violations or similar infractions)
  • No disciplinary action for engaging in an unprofessional or inappropriate relationship
  • No record of disciplinary action for financial irresponsibility, domestic violence or child abuse
  • Be commissioned by 40 years of age; age waivers may be available
  • Must be between the ages of 18 and 39
