Introduccion

Estamos buscando Compañeros de cuidado que puedan trabajar jornada completa de 36 horas a la semana minima. De 7 am a 7pm 3 dias a la semana o el horario de 7 pm a 7am. Dolan Memory Care Homes brinda atención continua a las personas que sufren problemas de memoria debido a la enfermedad de Alzheimer y casos relacionados, por más de 25 años. Los residentes viven en casas preciosas tradicionales de 7,000 pies cuadrados ubicados dentro de los vecindarios del condado de St. Louis. Tenemos 17 casas en St. Louis. Una vez que un residente se muda, se convierte en parte de la familia.

Elegimos mantener un entorno tranquilo e íntimo ya que las investigaciones recomiendan este tipo de entorno como apoyo para los residentes.

Descripcion General:

Ayudar a los residentes con todas las actividades del día, estas deben ser significativas y divertidas, brindando asistencia a los residentes según sea necesario . Entiende que todos los comportamientos tienen significado y deben interactuar con los residentes de manera positiva y creativa para maximizar su comodidad y seguridad. El Compañero de Cuidado cumplirá con los derechos de los residentes en todo momento mientras trabaja o en los terrenos de Dolan.

Todo Compañero de Cuidado es un trabajador universal. Un trabajador universal hará todo lo necesario, incluyendo cocinar, limpiar, lavar, actividades grupales e individuales, pasar medicamentos, bañar, ir al baño, arreglar etc. También es vital hacer rondas regularmente para garantizar la seguridad de cada residente.

Cuidado personal:

  • Brindar servicios básicos de enfermería/cuidado personal a los residentes, incluidos, medidas de higiene, ir al baño y comodidad, así como alimentar e hidratar a los residentes según sea necesario.
  • Tome los signos vitales: peso, temperatura, pulso y presión arterial.
  • Garantizar la seguridad y la protección de todos los residentes y sus pertenencias.
  • Mantiene informado al manager de los cambios en las condiciones de los residentes, inquietudes familiares y/o cambios en el estado.

General:

  • Practique y promueva un servicio al cliente positivo con los residentes y las familias.
  • Estar familiarizado con el plan individual y la historia de vida del residente.
  • Documentar información que sea pertinente a la condición, familia o instalación de los residentes en el libro de comunicaciones.
  • Informa todos los incidentes/accidentes.
  • Seguir las instrucciones de la casa para el cumplimiento de las regulaciones estatales en la administración y almacenamiento de medicamentos.
  • Recibir y entregar un informe de las condiciones del residente al siguiente compañero de turno.
  • Espacio libre de drogas ilegales, libre de humo y alcohol mientras se encuentre en las instalaciones y de servicio.
  • Prohibido el uso de teléfonos celulares durante las horas de trabajo.
  • Prohibido robar pertenencias y/o usar armas que puedan causar daño.
  • Físicamente capaz de levantar 50 libras o más, agacharse, doblarse y ponerse en cuclillas. Debe poder pararse/caminar durante 8 a 12 horas.

Calificaciones preferentes pero no requeridas para el inicio de trabajo.

  • Med level 1, CMT o C.NA (debe completar la clase Med Level 1 dentro de 1 año)
  • Certificación en primeros auxilios, Certificación en RCP.
  • Capacidad para seguir instrucciones escritas y verbales en inglés.
  • Experiencia laboral positiva en un entorno con residentes de demencia geriátrica.Reports To: House Manager

General Description:

Under the supervision of the house Manager, provides primary care and assistance to residents with dementia. Interacts and engages residents throughout the day to provide a person-centered care environment that is safe, clean, and/or meaningful for each resident. Assist residents with all facets of ADL's as well as lead residents in meaningful and fun activities, providing assistance to residents as needed throughout the day. Understands that all behaviors have meaning and must interact with residents in a positive and creative manner to maximize their comfort and safety. The CP will comply with Residents' Rights at all times while working or on the grounds of Dolan.


Every CP is a universal worker. A universal worker will do everything needed including cooking, cleaning, laundry, group and individual activities, passing medications, bathing, toileting, grooming, etc. It is also vital to do rounds regularly to ensure the safety of each resident.


Personal Care:

  1. Perform basic nursing/personal care services to residents including but not limited to bathing, shampooing, grooming, toileting, giving hygiene and comfort measures as well as feeding and hydrating residents as necessary.
  2. Take vital signs - weights, temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
  3. Ensure the safety and security of all residents and their belongings
  4. Maintains the inventory of personal care and toiletry supplies and provides additional supplies from house stock as needed.
  5. Keeps the Manager informed of changes in resident condition, family concerns, and/or changes in status.

Medication Administration:

  1. Follow house procedures and state regulations in the administration and storage of medications.
  2. Notify House Manager of changes in physician orders.
  3. Receive and give a report of the resident's conditions to oncoming CP.
  4. Provide documentation in MAR clinical record as directed by House Manager.
  5. Maintain medication cart and/or storage of medications including OTC items in compliance with house practice, policy, and state regulations.

General:

  1. Practice and promote positive customer service with residents and families.
  2. Is familiar with resident's ISP and life story. Promotes engagement with residents and families in a positive and professional manner while supporting person-centered care.
  3. If there is a pet staying at the house care partners must tend to and care for them as needed i.e. feeding & watering, letting them outside, walking, etc.
  4. Makes rounds regularly to ensure resident well-being and safety.
  5. Documents in the communication book. Not for complaints or gripes of staff members, information which is pertinent to residents condition, family or facility.
  6. Gossiping or other forms of communication which may be construed to be inappropriate language either verbal or written is prohibited.
  7. Attends all staff training sessions.
  8. Assist House Manager in admissions, transfers and discharges as well as other duties assigned by House Manager.
  9. Reports all incidents/accidents and or injury to residents, employees, or visitors by completion of incident report. A verbal report to immediate supervisor prior to or at the end of each shift is also required.
  10. In the event the employee would be asked to use their vehicle or ride in a vehicle in connection with their position seat belts are to worn at all times while riding or driving.
  11. Illegal drug free, smoke and alcohol free while on premises and duty.
  12. Cell phone use is prohibited during working hours.
  13. Stealing of any kind, from the resident, company, associates, and or visitors is strictly prohibited.
  14. All facilities are weapon free zones, include but not limited to guns, knives or any other device which may cause harm.
  15. Report any criminal felony charges (A,B,C) to the company when charged.

Qualifications:

  1. Med level 1, CMT or C.NA (must complete Med Level 1 class within 1 year)
  2. First aid Certified, CPR Certified
  3. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.
  4. Demonstrate a willingness to work with geriatric dementia residents.
  5. Positive work experience within a geriatric dementia environment.
  6. Physically able to lift 50 lbs or greater, stoop, bend, and squat. Must be able to stand/walk for 8 to 12 hours.
