Job descriptionGroshek Law is a boutique law firm in the North Loop that offers criminal defense (and related defense services) along with family law representation. Over the last 25 years, our Managing Attorney has developed the "Groshek Method" that is specifically suited for successful negotiation and litigation. We enjoy wins for our clients in bench and jury trials, at mediation and at appellate courts. No battle is too big or small for us! Our work environment includes : Modern and esthetically pleasing location with individual offices Friendly, close-knit staff including receptionist and legal assistants Opportunities to advance your practice On-site paid parking connected to the office in the North Loop Nespresso and coffee provided Apple technology including firm-issued laptop provided 50% of CLE costs covered by firm Family Law Attorney Duties : Represent clients in all area of family law, including : divorce, child custody, child support, spousal support, and property division. Conduct legal research and draft memoranda, motions, and discovery demands. Conduct depositions. Organize and maintain case files and documents. Communicate with potential new clients, clients, opposing counsel, and court staff. Schedule appointments and manage your calendar. Represent clients at court hearings and argue cases Represent clients at mediations. Negotiate and settle cases. Qualifications / Expectations J.D. Member of the Minnesota State Bar Minimum five years prior Family Law attorney experience. Ability to consistently bill 6 hours per day. Strong knowledge of family law procedures and regulations.
Proficiency in legal research and document preparation.
