Lead Line Cook — Ruffian Wine Bar (East Village, NYC)
Compensation : $27 / hr
Schedule : Full-time, evenings + weekends required
Ruffian, an acclaimed natural wine bar and Eastern European–inspired kitchen in the East Village, is seeking a Lead Line Cook to join our tight-knit team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in small, detail-oriented kitchens where precision, consistency, and communication matter.
What You’ll Do :
- Execute dishes to Ruffian standards during high-volume service
- Lead by example on the line and support training of junior cooks
- Maintain prep organization, cleanliness, and efficient station systems
- Collaborate with the Chef and MOD team on specials, menu changes, and service flow
- Uphold DOH and kitchen safety standards at all times
