Location : Hybrid in Seattle, WA

Contract Type : Contract-to-Hire

Compensation : Competitive market rate (Estimated range : $65,000-$80,000 annually DOE)

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a motivated Audit Assistant for a hybrid contract-to-hire opportunity in Seattle, WA . This role is ideal for an entry- to mid-level accounting professional who wants to gain hands-on experience in auditing and financial reporting. The Audit Assistant will support internal and external audits, assist with financial statement preparation, and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities :

• Assist with planning, testing, and executing internal and external audits
• Prepare audit schedules, workpapers, and documentation for audit reviews
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and assist with month-end close activities
• Analyze financial data and highlight discrepancies or unusual transactions
• Assist with compliance testing and ensure adherence to GAAP and internal controls
• Support senior auditors in fieldwork and client communications
• Perform substantive testing on account balances, transactions, and processes
• Assist in preparing financial statements, management reports, and audit findings
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to collect necessary documentation and data
• Participate in continuous process improvement initiatives within the audit function
