MIG Welder Paying $23 / hr

Job Description

Responsible for laying out and welding structural steel to build metal structures.

Responsibilities

• Weld and cut black carbon and galvanized steel, and interpret blueprints.
• Operate hand tools, grinders, and other shop machinery, or be willing to learn.
• Ensure products are manufactured according to prints.
• Maintain a neat and clean work area in accordance with 6S leadership and standards.
• Adhere to and comply with all company safety requirements.
• Read and understand schematics and blueprints, including weld symbols.
• Read a tape measure accurately and perform basic arithmetic operations.
• Operate vehicles, mechanical devices, or equipment as needed.
• Pass 3G / 4G tests in MIG welding with a focus on vertical / uphill and column welds.
• Train new welders as part of job duties.

Work Environment

Work in a non-climate controlled atmosphere with approximately 80 other employees. The position is a first shift role from 6 : 00 am to 3 : 30 pm, Monday through Friday.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dallas, Texas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00 / hr.
