Job Title : Metals Compliance & Trade Operations Analyst
Location : Franklin, TN 37067
Pay Rate : $43 – $52 / hour (W2 – No Benefits)
Duration : 6 months (Extension possible based on business needs)
Shift : 1st Shift, Mon – Fri, 8 AM - 5 PM
Schedule : Hybrid – 2 days / week on-site
About the Role
Are you a detail-oriented trade compliance professional with a passion for accuracy, collaboration, and continuous improvement? Join our Customs & Trade Operations team as a Metals Compliance & Trade Operations Analyst , where you’ll play a key role in ensuring regulatory compliance and operational excellence across our global supply chain.
In this position, you’ll focus on metals compliance—specifically steel, aluminum, and copper —while supporting import / export operations and documentation. You’ll work cross-functionally with procurement, engineering, and logistics teams to ensure all product data and declarations meet regulatory and business standards.
What You’ll Do
- Ensure Metals Compliance : Analyze Bills of Materials (BOMs) to validate metal weights and material accuracy for finished goods.
- Support Trade Operations : Oversee import / export activities, customs documentation, and coordination with brokers.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally : Partner with procurement and engineering teams to maintain data integrity and compliance alignment.
- Audit & Improve : Assist in auditing customs brokers, resolving discrepancies, and supporting internal / external compliance audits.
- Drive Projects : Lead small-scale projects to enhance trade operations, reporting, and process efficiency.
What You Bring
Education : Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Operations, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).Technical Expertise : Solid understanding of metals (steel, aluminum, copper) within manufacturing or trade environments.Regulatory Knowledge : Familiarity with import / export regulations , tariff classification , and customs documentation .Analytical Skills : Strong ability to analyze BOMs, detect discrepancies, and ensure compliance accuracy.Tools & Systems : Experience with ACE or customs systems; proficient in ERP tools (SAP, Oracle) and MS Office .Soft Skills : Excellent communication, organization, and time management with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.Project Management : Experience managing or supporting process improvement or compliance projects.Why You’ll Love This Opportunity
