Paralegal

Growing Rockwall area law firm in need of an EXPERIENCED Paralegal to join our team! We have a great Team with a wonderful working environment and we need another like-minded Team Member! We are looking for a qualified local area resident.

Candidates must be responsible, have excellent organizational, detail and accuracy skills, and MUST have experience in the areas described below (although unlikely any one candidate will have deep experience in all of the firm’s practice areas, candidates without proven experience in at least some of the firm’s practice areas will NOT be considered).

The firm’s practice areas and desired paralegal experience include :

Civil litigation (firm does not practice personal injury, family or criminal law)

Desired experience includes assisting in all phases of litigation (initial drafting of pleadings and motions, responding to discovery, managing documents & document production, case development tasks, calendar and deadline management, file organization, legal research, trial prep)

Real estate transactions (residential, commercial, development)

Desired experience includes doc prep (contracts, deeds, closing docs), due diligence organization and review, facilitating closings, and experience in the following areas : secured transactions, seller-finance, easements, foreclosures, deed restrictions, homeowner’s associations, mechanics liens, builder and homeowner issues

General business matters

Assist with entity formation and governance matters (entity books, docs prep, resolutions, etc.) and employment issues

Estate planning and & probate

Assist with initial drafting (wills, heirship docs, advance directives, powers of attorney) and probate

General Paralegal Experience

• Outstanding organizational skills with strong attention to detail
• Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, etc.)
• Organized and skilled Document Management experience
• Professional and articulate verbal and written communication skills
