Description :
Seeking a compassionate and motivated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our dedicated rehab team.
The facility is focused on building a positive culture where teamwork and patient success are prioritized.

Work under the supervision of the Occupational Therapist to provide therapy services.
Assist with implementing individualized treatment plans to improve resident independence.
Deliver interventions that support daily living skills, mobility, and overall function.
Accurately document treatment sessions and resident progress.
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to maximize patient outcomes.
Support residents and their families with education and encouragement.
Treat patients as directed by the Occupational Therapist.
Record daily treatment notes and weekly progress notes as required.
Treat patients per the physician treatment plan.
Assist the nursing department with training of Restorative Aides.
Communicate with supervisors and other health team members regarding patient progress, problems, and plans.
Participate in in-service training programs for other staff.
Record evaluations, daily treatment notes, weekly progress notes, and recertification documentation per relevant guidelines.
Record treatment changes as per policy and procedures.
Instruct patients' families or nursing staff in maintenance programs and caregiver training in preparation for discharge from therapy services.
Participate in discharge planning.
Assist with the cleaning and maintenance of the treatment area.
Report any problems with department equipment to ensure it is maintained in good working order.
Demonstrate the ability to relate positively, effectively, and appropriately with patients, families, staff, and professional colleagues.
