Software / DevOps Engineer

Ciscos Enterprise DevOps as a Service (EDaaS) team is seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to support the identification and resolution of operational performance issues while applying security best practices across our growing portfolio of DevOps and AI-driven development tools. EDaaS is a fast-paced team driving the modernization of Cisco IT & Engineering workflows with modern, cloud-native solutions and automation. The ideal candidate is motivated, detail-oriented, and passionate about enabling developers with cutting-edge tooling. You will play a critical role in administering and optimizing both traditional DevOps platforms and next-generation AI Code Assistants (Copilot, Cursor, Windsurf), ensuring secure, scalable, and effective adoption across the enterprise.

Responsibilities

• Develop object-oriented Python code to process large data sets via REST APIs.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning using configuration management tools.
• Enhance monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure reliability and performance.
• Administer, configure, and optimize AI Code Assistant platforms to maximize developer productivity while enforcing enterprise security and compliance standards.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate AI-assisted development into workflows and provide ongoing operational support.
• Contribute to automation frameworks, CI / CD pipelines, and DevOps tooling to improve efficiency across the enterprise.
