Job Summary

The Lab Assistant will provide assistance with oversight of the cosmetology lab to include the supervision of students, organization of the lab, and maintaining supply / equipment inventory. In addition, the Lab Assistant will provide assistance in class when needed.

Required Qualifications

• Certified as a Cosmetology Operator in good standing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR)
• Two years of experience in the cosmetology field
• Data entry skills
• Ability to operate standard office equipment and use a telephone
• Knowledge of computer and general cosmetology-related equipment
• Proficient in (TDLR) rules and regulations
• Evidence of ability to communicate effectively with a diverse population, both orally and in writing
• Evidence of ability to work effectively as a member of the Cosmetology team
