Job Description :

Soliant and its affiliates are seeking a dedicated and experienced Special Education (SPED) professional to join our team in Westwood, MA.

As a school-based SPED contractor, you will play a crucial role in providing specialized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs, ensuring they have the resources and opportunities to succeed academically and socially.

Responsibilities :

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities, tailored to their unique strengths and needs.
  • Provide direct instruction and support to students with disabilities in various academic subjects and skill areas.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to facilitate inclusive learning environments and promote students' progress towards academic and social goals.
  • Conduct ongoing assessments to monitor students' progress and make data-driven instructional decisions.
  • Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies and accommodations to meet the diverse needs of students with disabilities.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress, IEPs, and related paperwork.

Requirements :

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Special Education or related field from an accredited institution.
  • Massachusetts state teaching certification in Special Education or eligibility for certification.
  • At least one year of recent experience working as a special education teacher or related role in a school setting.
  • Knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to differentiate instruction and support students with diverse learning needs.
