Job description

Our client, a global leader in the cannabis industry, is seeking a dynamic and strategic Marketing Director to lead the brand's marketing efforts across international markets. This role will be responsible for shaping and executing innovative marketing strategies to elevate the company's global presence, drive brand awareness, and support sales growth in an evolving and competitive market.

  • This is an IN OFFICE role in Los Angeles, CA

The ideal candidate is a visionary marketer with deep experience in the cannabis industry, an ability to adapt to rapidly changing regulations across different countries, and a proven track record of leading high-impact campaigns that resonate with diverse audiences.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop and execute global marketing strategies that align with company objectives, including brand development, product launches, and market penetration initiatives.
  • Lead multi-channel marketing efforts including digital marketing, social media, content creation, public relations, and traditional advertising.
  • Collaborate with regional teams to tailor marketing campaigns to local markets, ensuring compliance with legal regulations and maximizing cultural relevance.
  • Manage and oversee marketing budgets , ensuring efficient allocation of resources and maximizing return on investment (ROI).
  • Spearhead brand positioning and identity, ensuring a consistent and compelling brand voice across all channels and markets.
  • Collaborate with the sales and product development teams to ensure cohesive go-to-market strategies for new products and innovations.
  • Monitor market trends, competitive landscape, and industry developments to identify new opportunities for growth and brand differentiation.
  • Establish KPIs and track performance of marketing initiatives, providing detailed reports to the executive team.
  • Lead a high-performing marketing team , fostering creativity, collaboration, and professional growth.
  • Manage external partnerships including PR agencies, advertising firms, and other vendors to amplify the company's reach.

    • Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications , or related field (MBA preferred).
  • 8+ years of experience in marketing leadership roles, with at least 3 years in the cannabis industry or a highly regulated industry.
  • Proven success in developing and executing global marketing strategies across multiple regions.
  • Expertise in digital marketing, social media, content creation, and public relations .
  • Strong understanding of cannabis market regulations and the ability to navigate compliance in different regions.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills , with experience managing and motivating marketing teams.
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to interpret analytics and adapt strategies accordingly.

    • Compensation : $150,000-160,000 plus Medical, Dental, Vision and 401K benefits
