Founded in 1998, Mystic Valley Regional Charter School in Malden, MA serves more than 1,750 students in Kindergarten through Grade 12.

K–8 Music Teacher

The Music Teacher will lead and implement Mystic Valley's music program for students in Kindergarten through Grade 8. Instruction is aligned with the Core Knowledge curriculum and emphasizes artistic development through performance, practice, and skill-building.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging music instruction aligned with the documented curriculum
• Design and teach lessons with clear, measurable learning objectives
• Assess student progress regularly and provide required reports and report cards
• Collaborate weekly with Specials colleagues and communicate effectively with the assigned Assistant Director
• Implement the school's assertive discipline model to maintain a positive learning environment
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events
• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned by the Assistant Director

This is a full-time, school-year position. Appointments are annual and subject to yearly evaluation.
