Job description

BEFORE & AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM SITE DIRECTOR - PART TIME - Brown Elementary School ALPHABEST EDUCATION, INC.

This position needs a

  • 90 Hour Certification school age or early childhood- At least one of the 45 hours growth and development- 45 hours school age curriculum.

After school is where adventure begins! Potential to work year-round.

Location : Brown Elementary School 421 University Drive Waldorf MD

Schedule : Monday-Friday (Before & Aftercare) NO Weekends!! Hours : Morning Care - 6 : 00 am - 9 : 00 am Afternoon Care - 3 : 15 pm - 6 : 00 pm

Pay & Benefits :

  • Hourly : $19.50
  • Part-time benefits including health and paid time off

    • As an AlphaBEST Captain , you'll be trained to do the following :

  • Lead a fun and dedicated team of Guides that deliver excitement to our student Explorers in fitness, the arts, technology, and more!
  • Work collaboratively with peers and the Leadership Team to manage all aspects of the program site.
  • Train AlphaBEST Guides on how to lead adventurous tasks that ignite children's sense of wonder.
  • Encourage creativity and intellectual curiosity by establishing clubs that build on students' interests and talents.
  • Provide a caring, family-oriented environment where positive staff, child, parent, and school relationships are fostered at your program site.

    • Here's what you'll need :

    Must have a high school diploma or GED,

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • 90 Hour Certification school age or early childhood
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet program staffing needs
  • Must be registered and have full clearance from the state childcare licensing agency
  • Proof of experience as required by state childcare licensing regulations (see below)

    • Proof of experience through ONE of the following options is required :

  • Bachelor's Degree (BS / BA in a related field) or Associate's Degree (AS / AA in a related field)
  • A 1-year state or nationally recognized credential (related to school-age care)
  • Completion of 20 credits (semester system) or 30 credits (quarter system) of training at a college / university AND at least 1 year of qualifying teaching experience in a Certified Child Care Center (or comparable group care program)
  • 2 or more years of qualifying teaching experience (with at least one year as a teacher) in a Certified Child Care Center (or comparable group care program)
