Primary Purpose :
Maintain attendance records on the district's computer system and other records related to student enrollment.

Proficient typing skills, ability to operate a personal and district computer system, and related softwareAbility to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing.Ability to organize multiple types of documents.Ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and Board of Education policies.Ability to develop effective working relationships with students, staff, and the school community.Experience :
Entry level skills in typing, grammar, spelling and math; one to two years as an Attendance Clerk preferred.Major Resonsibilitities and Duties :
Make and receive telephone calls.Enter student attendance records and exemptions into the computer on a daily basis.Respond to inquiries from students, teachers, and parents regarding attendance rules, absences, and enrollment status.Compile and submit a variety of daily, weekly, monthly, and year end reports as requiredWork with truant / attendance officer concerning truancy, excessive absences, address verification, etc.Prepare attendance sheetsType, prepare, distribute, file records / reports, correspondence etc. related to attendanceCorrect attendance discrepancies.Maintain files of waiver of student tuition, and transfers.Issue proof of enrollment documents.Assist with receiving visitors and direct them to the proper party.Distribute attendance materials and documents to faculty.Contact parents concerning absences.Perform other duties as assigned.Working Conditions : Mental Demands :
