Job Description : We are seeking a motivated Operations Department Intern to assist our Operations Manager and Supervisor in monitoring airfield and airport facilities to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

This internship offers an opportunity to learn about airport operations, safety procedures, and regulatory compliance while contributing to the daily activities of our team.

Key Responsibilities :

• Conduct inspections of airside and landside airport property and facilities to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Report discrepancies and unsafe conditions promptly via work orders and the NOTAM system.
• Assist in the development and updates of FAA required manuals and plans.
• Coordinate with construction contractors and participate in runway inspections.
• Perform snow removal and field condition reporting during inclement weather.
• Assist in providing escorts inside the AOA and SIDA areas.
• Conduct training and presentations on various topics related to airport operations.
• Complete administrative duties contributing to the efficiency of Commission operations.

Requirements :

• Actively pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Aviation Management or closely related field.
• Must be in Junior or Senior credit year of acquiring a Bachelor's Degree and be in good academic standing.
• Knowledge of FAR Parts 139 and 77 as well as TSR Part 1542 preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and remain calm under pressure.
• Must be able to work rotating shifts including nights / evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Must meet and maintain TSA security requirements for unescorted access to the Airport's Secure Area.
