We are recruiting on behalf of an award-winning commercial general contractor in Columbus, Ohio, who are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Estimator to join their growing preconstruction team. With a strong reputation across the Midwest, this contractor delivers diverse projects in retail, mixed-use, education, healthcare, automotive dealerships, and office developments

The Role

As a Commercial Estimator , you will play a key role in shaping the success of high-value projects. Responsibilities include :

• Reviewing drawings, specifications, and bid documents to develop accurate cost estimates.
• Preparing detailed take-offs and pricing for commercial construction scopes.
• Coordinating with project managers, architects, engineers, and clients throughout the preconstruction phase.
• Obtaining competitive bids from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Supporting value engineering exercises and risk analysis.
• Presenting bid proposals and participating in client negotiations.
