Director of Property Damage Claims

Job Description

Johnson Service Group (JSG) is seeking a direct hire role for a Director of Property Damage Claims to work in the Enumclaw, WA location.

• Primary Property only - primary - material damage
• All personal, farm commercial, all property lines
• No internal candidates
• Timeframe, best case end of year to start after first of year
• Incumbent is retiring March 6th

 Material damage, first party prop, call center will be under this person

 Aligns well with CAT work

 Claims department is 103 people right now

 40 or less will be under this team

 Inside property team, large exposure inside team, general adjusters

 65 personal claims 20% farm and rest is commercial

 Authority level - exp w actual authority - millions - be able to oversee claims up to 5 million

 CAT - responsible for communication during CAT

 Exposure / paril - water claims, roof leaks, building construction, fire 1st and 2nd is wind

 Need ot understand complex

 Would be good with someone with WA and MT experience

 Relo in form of sign on - 10K - 15K

 Need carrier background, no IA's - someone w / little in IA space

 Claim center - would be nice - and contractor networks

 Non negotiables :

 Property - capability to oversee complex

 People leaders - people mgmt - HEAVY leadership role

 Resource allocation - all things operations

 Need to be strong in coverage

 If local minimal travel - UP to 4 times a year (conference) - 2-3 field rides - up to 6 times a year - not spending a lot of time in the field unless they want to
