NICU Registered Nurse Job Details Location : Cedar Rapids, Iowa 52402 Healthcare Setting : Level III NICU (22 beds) and Pediatric Unit (17 beds) Assignment Type : Travel Nursing Contract Start Date : October 27, 2025 End Date : January 26, 2026 Contract Duration : 13 weeks Shift Schedule : Rotating 12-hour shifts (AM / PM), 36 hours per week Weekend / Holiday : Every other weekend and holiday rotation required On Call : None EMR System : EPIC Scrubs : Black, Navy, or Caribbean blue pants with unit top Estimated Weekly Salary : $2080 - $2230 NICU Nurse Qualifications Active Iowa RN license required Minimum 1.5 years of recent NICU nursing experience (no first-time travelers) Current certifications : BLS, NRP, and PALS (AHA) Proficiency with EPIC EMR Ability to float between NICU and Pediatric units as needed Submission of work history / resume, skills checklist (completed within 1 year), license verification, and required certifications References highly preferred NICU RN Responsibilities Provide high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to neonates and pediatric patients in the NICU and Pediatric Unit Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans Monitor and manage patients using advanced medical equipment (Drager CPAP, ventilators, HFOV, Jet, Cooling, CFM monitors) Administer medications, including vasopressors and sedation meds in the NICU, and insulin titration in Pediatrics Accurately document patient care and progress in EPIC EMR Participate in scheduled weekend and holiday rotations Maintain a safe, supportive, and family-centered care environment Apply now to join our dedicated healthcare team and make a difference in the lives of newborns and families in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
