A Setup Operator will be responsible for performing typical machine shop setups, and functions to support the production floor.

This includes operating and setting-up machining equipment in a specialty fastener processing facility. This role will be expected to operate as the main order setup to facilitate the efficiency and improvement of current procedures.

Responsibilities :

• Setup machining department equipment for order production
• Manage daily production requirements and delivery
• Perform first article inspections to verify part quality at setup
• Design and machine production fixtures and tools
• Review work inspections, blueprints, or samples to identify and propose machine setup and in-process improvements
• Maintain safe, clean, and organized equipment and workstations
• Support Lean manufacturing activities
• Support quality and daily problem-solving activities
• Perform other duties as assigned by management to support production team

Qualifications :

• Ability to read and interpret work instructions, blueprints, and standard operating procedures
• Must be mechanically inclined
• Experience with manual machining; experience with lathes and mills
• Experience with CNC machining setup a plus
• Light to moderate physical effort required; Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds
• Familiar with control systems; PLC and HMI programing a plus
• High School diploma or GED required
• Must be eligible for employment in the United States

Hourly Rate between $25-$30 depending on experience.
