Production Supervisor / Manager
In a fast-paced manufacturing environment, the Production Supervisor / Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the manufacturing process. This role requires competence in understanding complex operations and optimizing daily activities to minimize costs. You will be responsible for machining, fabricating, welding, assembling, or processing operations necessary for the production of finished products, goods, or services. This position reports to the Director of Manufacturing and is accountable for department personnel, quality, production, and inventory control.
Responsibilities
- Supervise staff to produce manufactured products and organize and monitor workflow.
- Accomplish manufacturing results by communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
- Coach, counsel, and discipline employees while initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
- Complete production plans by scheduling and assigning personnel, establishing priorities, monitoring progress, revising schedules, resolving problems, and reporting results to the Director of Manufacturing.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by training and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources, ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Oversee and coach employees, identify issues in efficiency, and suggest improvements.
- Enforce strict safety guidelines and company standards.
- Ensure production plans are completed on time.
- Communicate with other manufacturing departments and escalate production issues to the Director of Manufacturing as needed.
- Create and justify purchase requisitions to support manufacturing teams.
- Adhere to ISO 9001 / 2015 standards.
Essential Skills
3-5+ years of proven experience as a Production Supervisor or similar role.Experience using various types of manufacturing machinery and tools.Demonstrated experience in performance evaluations for employees.Prior experience in lean manufacturing.Conflict resolution and the ability to write and deliver disciplinary actions.Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office products.Strong organizational and leadership skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.Proficient problem-solving skills.Working knowledge of ERP / MRP systems.High School Diploma.Work Environment
Located in Southern Colorado Springs, this role is on-site five days a week. The position involves working in a manufacturing setting with a focus on technologies that improve transportation safety and streamline fuel pricing strategies. Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Colorado Springs, CO. Pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $90000.00 / yr. Medical, dental, vision, 401k with company match, disability insurance, life insurance, hospital indemnity, accident, and critical illness.
