We are seeking a driven, relationship-focused Regional Sales Manager to lead GenerLink sales across Illinois, Indiana, and Iowa . In this role, you will be responsible for building and strengthening distributor partnerships, supporting approved utility territories, and expanding sales through new channels. You will own your Midwest region, with the ability to define and manage your territory for growth.
This is an excellent step-up opportunity for someone with experience in the electrical distribution industry —whether as a distributor / vendor representative or in inside sales—who is ready to advance their career in a customer-facing leadership role.
Requirements :
Distributor Engagement
- Call on and support electrical distributors (Graybar, City Electric, Crescent Electric, Rexel, etc.,) to drive stocking and sales of Global Power Products solutions.
- Lead branch visits, counter days, and technical product trainings.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with reorder planning.
- Maintain in store displays / marketing.
Electrician Network Development
Identify, onboard, and support licensed electricians in approved utility areas.Coordinate training, field support, and communications to ensure smooth installations.Work with Trade Schools IEC, ABC, NJATC.Channel Expansion
Pursue non-traditional partners such as generator dealers, HVAC providers, and emergency preparedness companies.Drive local awareness through joint marketing campaigns and referral programs.Event Participation
Represent the company at trade shows, home expos, contractor forums, and distributor events.Organize product demos and educational sessions for contractors and end-users.Reporting & CRM
Track activities and customer interactions using CRM tools.Provide regular reports on territory performance, pipeline, and competitive landscape.Qualifications
3+ years of outside sales experience, preferably in electrical distribution, generators, or related technical products.Strong knowledge of the contractor and utility landscape in Illinois, Indiana, and Iowa.Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage a multi-state territory.Willingness to travel regularly throughout the region.Preferred :
Existing relationships with distributors, contractors, or utility contacts in the MidwestAbility to build relationships with co-ops, municipal utilities, and EMCs to support education, pilots, and customer engagementKnowledge of utility interconnection rules, approvals, and emerging market opportunitiesCompensation & Benefits
