We are looking to add a driven and passionate Engineering PMO Consultant with an engineering background to our Houston Hub .

As an MP Consultant, you will have the opportunity to :

  • Work across diverse sectors to manage diverse projects and support programs of work.
  • Deliver within complex client engagements and aid MP team leadership with client relationship management
  • Support the engagement lead to build our footprint within a client or multiple clients, while taking advantage of a diverse range of professional development opportunities

Your Responsibilities will include :

  • Developing, Implementing and Governing PMO frameworks, including project management methodologies, tools and process tailored specifically for engineering and manufacturing projects.
  • Providing Project Management support by offering expert guidance and support to engineering and manufacturing project teams in areas including project planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk management and resource allocation, while assisting in resolving project issues and risk mitigation to ensure on-time, on-budget project delivery.
  • Conducting regular PMO Assessments and Audits of project management practices within engineering and manufacturing departments or organizations, identifying areas for improvement and recommending strategies to enhance project performance, efficiency, and compliance to industry and MIGSO-PCUBED standards of quality.
  • Delivering Training and Coaching to enhance the project management capabilities of our clients engineering and manufacturing teams, providing one-on-one coaching and mentoring to project managers and team members to strengthen their project management skills and knowledge.
  • Driving continuous improvement within a PMO and across engineering and manufacturing projects by analyzing project metrics and performance data to identify trends, opportunities and areas for optimization, then implementing process improvements and best practices to enhance project outcomes and organizational effectiveness.

Who Are You?

You are someone who has at least a Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field of study; Engineering Management, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering degrees are advantageous;

Master's degrees are preferred. You have 5-8 years of Project Management Experience within an Engineering or Manufacturing environment.

A comprehensive understanding of Project and Program Management (PPM) principles and methodologies is essential, and it is crucial that you have successfully applied these PMO principles in your previous professional experiences.

Experience with Project Management technology such as MS Project, Smartsheet, Planisware or Jira is preferred. Certifications in Project Management are not required, but highly valued!

You must possess strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and project management skills to successfully execute and support the delivery of projects that contribute to the client's growth and competitiveness.

Analytical skills are your strong suit and you have a rigorous attention to detail. You are an excellent communicator, adjusting communication styles based on your audience.

You are a quick learner, adaptable and can thrive in new environments. You have experience working within large and complex organizations.

You are proactive, confident, and engaging; especially when it comes to collaborating with project stakeholders.
