The primary responsibility of the Bariatric Psychologist is to provide psychological evaluations for bariatric surgery candidates. These evaluations include a diagnostic clinical interview as well as psychological assessment.The Bariatric Psychologist also provides direction and support to patients throughout the various stages of the program as needed, from initial evaluation to long-term follow-up, often by offering individual therapy and support groups.Qualifications
