Job Title : Labor and Employment Associate Attorney
Job Overview
A prominent law firm based in New York City is seeking a dedicated Labor & Employment Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of experience handling a wide range of employment-related disputes. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside a collaborative team on sophisticated litigation matters involving employment law. The ideal candidate should possess a proactive mindset, strong litigation skills, and a solid foundation in employment law. While traditional labor law experience is an advantage, it is not mandatory.
Duties
- Handle all phases of employment litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motions, hearings, and trials
- Advise on employment policies, workplace investigations, and compliance matters
- Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda, briefs, and other legal documents
- Collaborate with other attorneys on complex litigation strategies and case planning
- Represent clients in federal and state courts, as well as before administrative agencies
- Participate in settlement negotiations and mediation sessions
- Stay up-to-date with emerging trends in employment law and regulatory developments
Requirements
Education
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
Certifications
Active and valid license to practice law in New York
