Description

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Use accounting or production software, databases, and/or spreadsheets to accurately record and review information
  • Enter (post) standard accounting entries; put costs (debits) and income (credits) into appropriate applications, assigning each to an appropriate account
  • Check for accuracy in figures, postings, and reports; reconcile or note and report any differences found in records
  • Verify, sort, post, and check claims, bills, invoices, and/or vouchers
  • Respond appropriately to vendor, client, and internal requests
  • Maintain accurate files for record keeping
  • Generate, prepare, and distribute reports
  • Assist in preparing summaries, charts, and/or graphs as requested
  • Perform basic office tasks, including answering phones, responding to emails, filing, etc.
  • Provide other general clerical support to the department or location as assigned

Requirements

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Some post-secondary education or undergraduate degree in accounting or related curriculum preferred
  • Up to 1 year of accounting, book-keeping or related experience
  • Certification and/or License – may be required during course of employment
