Job description

Senior Manager, Human Resources (Salaried HR Client Support)

At GE Appliances, a Haier company, we come together to make "good things, for life." As the fastest-growing appliance company in the U.S., we're powered by creators, thinkers and makers who believe that anything is possible and that there's always a better way. We believe in the power of our people and in giving them the freedom to explore, discover and build good things, together. The GE Appliances philosophy, backed by three simple commitments defines the way we work, invent, create, do business, and serve our communities : we come together, we always look for a better way, and we create possibilities. Interested in joining us on our journey? The Senior HR Manager (Salary Support) plays a pivotal role in shaping and executing strategic HR initiatives to support our salaried workforce. This position is responsible for ensuring the consistency and effectiveness of key HR processes, including talent management, salary planning, performance reviews, employee relations, and engagement. By partnering with plant leaders and functional Vice Presidents, the Senior HR Manager will drive workforce planning, talent acquisition, and succession planning efforts to meet the organization's evolving needs. In this role, you will provide oversight and coaching to Plant HR Managers, ensuring alignment with corporate HR policies and fostering a unified approach to HR management. You will also ensure the consistent application of policies and legal compliance, addressing high-risk employee relations issues as needed. As a champion of our organizational culture, you will lead initiatives that promote inclusion and leadership development, integrating these efforts into the broader HR strategy. Additionally, you will act as the primary liaison with headquarters HR Centers of Excellence (COEs), facilitating collaboration and alignment on HR strategies and initiatives.

Location : USA, Louisville, KY

How You'll Create Possibilities

Own Strategy and Consistency of Salaried HR Processes : Develop and implement strategic HR initiatives to ensure consistency and effectiveness in key areas such as talent management, salary planning, performance reviews, employee relations, and employee engagement. This involves creating frameworks and guidelines that align with organizational goals and ensuring they are consistently applied across all salaried HR processes.

Partner with Plant Leaders and Functional VPs : Collaborate closely with plant leaders and functional Vice Presidents to address the needs of the salaried workforce. This includes workforce planning to anticipate future staffing needs, talent acquisition to attract and retain top talent, and succession planning to ensure a robust pipeline of future leaders within the organization.

Provide Oversight and Coaching to Plant HR Managers : Offer guidance and support to Plant HR Managers to ensure their activities align with corporate HR policies and objectives. This involves regular coaching sessions, providing feedback, and sharing best practices to enhance their effectiveness and ensure a unified approach to HR management across all locations.

Ensure Consistent Application of Policies and Legal Compliance : Monitor and enforce the consistent application of HR policies and procedures to maintain legal compliance and mitigate risks. This includes staying informed about relevant labor laws and regulations, conducting audits, and addressing any high-risk employee relations issues that arise, escalating them when necessary.

Champion Culture, Inclusion, and Leadership Development Initiatives : Lead efforts to foster a positive organizational culture that values diversity and inclusion. Develop and implement leadership development programs to nurture and grow leadership capabilities across the organization, ensuring that these initiatives are integrated into the broader HR strategy.

Act as Primary Liaison with Headquarters HR Centers of Excellence (COEs) : Serve as the main point of contact between the plant HR teams and the headquarters HR Centers of Excellence, which include Compensation, Benefits, and Talent. Facilitate communication and collaboration to ensure alignment on HR strategies and initiatives, leveraging the expertise of the COEs to enhance local HR practices and address specific challenges.
