Marketing - Community Engagement

We are looking for the right person to join our dynamic team of marketing professionals. Complex Community Federal Credit Union is celebrating 67 years of excellence in serving the Permian Basin. This individual will help with financial institution marketing, community engagement and brand management. They will work collaboratively with departmental teams on projects ranging from reviewing new products and services to new technology and problem solving. This is an outstanding opportunity for an individual wanting to grow in leadership and knowledge and requires someone with strong organizational skills, a proven track record of problem solving and adapts quickly to a changing environment.

More specifically, this individual would lead the charge on community engagement including event planning and executing. We are looking for a process-driven team member who thrives on creating memorable experiences for those community partners we serve. Developing relationships is big part of the job and leading the team in debriefing sessions is a critical role. Collaboration is another key as the marketing team many times works as one unit while still having a specific area to champion . . . in this case, community engagement.

There are many skills necessary to assure success. Marketing experience is a plus along with some graphic design knowledge or experience. Organizational skills and strong communication is vital to assure success. We are looking for an individual who is able to influence team members and peers and has great communication skills.

The primary responsibilities include community event planning and execution while working with other team specialists to support their work. This would include spending time in the classroom assisting with financial capability education and collaboration on the development of strong marketing strategies for the credit union.

Our standard work week is Monday through Friday from 8 : 30am until 5 : 30pm. However, the marketing team is often working early morning, evenings and weekends to meet the needs of our team and the communities we serve. While we work to manage work-life balance, there are several times in the year when work weeks can extend beyond the normal 40 hour work week. The work can be physical as we set up and tear down community events. The ability to lift 35 pounds or more is important.

Education and Experience : A high school diploma is required with some college a plus. Marketing, communication, event planning or design experience a plus.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities : Proficiency in Microsoft products is crucial with any experience in design platform (AI, Photoshop, etc.) a plus. Candidates must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record and have the ability to manage a schedule which would include some nights and weekend. Successful candidates must demonstrate the ability to manage multiple projects at once and have exceptional organizational skills, time management skills and proven follow through.

This individual will report directly to the Chief Brand and People Officer.
