As a Gas Turbine Operations Engineer and a part of 9HL fleet operation team as back office technical expert, you will support new unit commission activities and operating fleet operational topics. The role will have overall responsibility to maintain standard gas turbine operation concept, apply field lessons learned to maintain targeted GT operation availability and reliability. You will be involved in solution development for ongoing or new issue resolution and ensure lessons learned are applied in the 9HL operating fleet
How You’ll Make an Impact
Maintain and publish 9HL gas turbine overall operation and protection concept
Work with turbine, combustion, compressor and Auxiliary interfaces to develop new innovative operational concepts to maximize GT operational flexibility, reliability and availability
Planning and execution of prototype 9HL products validation prior to market introduction with responsibility for budget and manpower plans
Monitor fleet operational performance and work with fleet service management team to roll out new features to improve market competitiveness for all 9HL products
Interface and collaborate with a global team of experts and be responsible for developing a competitive product as defined in the Product Requirement and Design Specification
Support the market introduction and communication to customers of the HL-class product portfolio
What You Bring
Degree in Engineering, or equivalent longstanding professional experience in gas turbine development or commissioning.
8 or more years of experience in the relevant field. Candidates with more experience can be considered for a higher level or vice versa.
In-depth knowledge about gas turbine operation and protection philosophy. Gas turbine commissioning experience is plus.
High level knowledge about GT auxiliary systems i.e. fuel gas, fuel oil systems etc.
Demonstrated leadership experience of a diverse team, with the ability to work with large global teams and meet targets within schedule and budget
Strategic and critical thinking skills; leadership mentality and proactive approach
Strong communication across all levels of the organization and the ability to influence work across peer groups - Agile / LEAN experience
Up to 25% of travel may be required
