Design Drafter - Building Systems. Tommy's is looking for a Design Drafter to provide metal building system detailing and shop drawings.

Position Responsibilities

• Develop shop drawings and assembly detailing for building material systems using Revit & AutoCAD. (Tommy's building design / materials training will be provided)
• Prepare material schedules and bills of materials to other departments for procurement and manufacturing direction.
• Coordinate designs with architectural and structural drawings.
• Study building product specifications, determine optimal product for application and properly apply to the design.
• Communicate verbally and in writing with internal departments.
• Work within a team environment of management, sales, and manufacturing.
• Provide fair, friendly, and consistent customer service.
• Other duties as assigned; duties and responsibilities may change at any time with or without notice.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

This job operates in a professional office environment. Office hours are Monday through Friday from 8 : 00am - 5 : 00pm. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and operates primarily indoors with limited to no travel expectation.
