Seasonal Transportation Driver
Schedule / Hours : Seasonal
This position is responsible for :
Drives a Salvation Army vehicle in order to transport passengers and Red Kettle equipment to bell ringing locations.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provides transportation for bell ringers to kettle sites and the Corps. Picks-up Angel Tree donations from various sites for transport to warehouse.
- Drives carefully and observes / complies with all traffic signs and road / weather conditions to ensure the safety of passengers. Picks-up and delivers miscellaneous items as needed
- Locks vehicle doors when vehicle is not in use. Fuels vehicle in accordance with state gasoline regulations and The Salvation Army standards.
- Logs all mileage on standard forms; ensures the accuracy and completeness of the same.
- Arrives at destination according to schedule or telephones ahead when severe delays occur. Maintains control of passenger activities by prohibiting unsafe or non-Christian behavior.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions :
Work involves driving a vehicle where there may be physical discomforts associated with changes in weather such as rain, cold, snow, heat or discomforts associated with long distance trips or heavy traffic.Ability to meet attendance requirements. Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language. Ability to drive a vehicle in heavy traffic and extended trips.What We Are Looking For In You
High School diploma or G.E.D ANDTwo years' experience operating an automotive vehicle ORAny equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.Licenses and Certifications :
