Employment Type : Part Time

Schedule : Monday to Friday. (No weekends!)

Shift Times : 5 : 30 pm or shifts typically range for 3-5 hours (15-20 hours per week)

Salary : $20-$25 an hour

Location : Utah County, UT (Applicants must be willing and able to travel throughout the county for work. This position includes a reimbursement for milage driven for work. The reimbursement rate is calculated according to the standard mileage rate set by the IRS, which is subject to change annually.

WSI Trash & Recycling Valet is hiring a Field Support Technician to monitor and assist with nightly door side to dumpster trash and recycling valet services for multifamily communities throughout Salt Lake County. With short evening shifts during the week, and an average of 15-20 hours per week, this position is great for people looking to make some additional income while still enjoying a work life balance.

Responsibilities

The Field Support Technician plays a crucial role in supervising trash and recycling valet technicians. This ensures that all operations are executed efficiently and effectively, maintaining the high standards of service that WSI is known for.

Regularly monitoring and assisting with the nightly door-to-dumpster services, the Field Support Technician ensures that all operations adhere to the company's quality standards. This role is vital in identifying and addressing any issues promptly, thereby maintaining the integrity and effectiveness of the service.

A core responsibility of the Field Support Technician is to train new technicians and help develop their skills. This not only improves the quality of service but also fosters a learning environment that encourages professional growth within the company.

Your main responsibilities include :

• Collecting bagged trash, recycling, and broken-down cardboard from residents' door sides using on-site equipment.
• Transporting these materials to designated on-site dumpsters, trash chutes, or compactors.
• Separating recyclables into appropriate dumpsters and inspecting for contamination.
• Engaging with residents you encounter, providing a friendly and professional service.
• Issuing Educational Courtesy Compliance Notices for non-compliant trash or contaminated recycling, along with taking necessary photos.
• Uploading photos and compliance notices into our app to document your findings.
• Cleaning up any loose trash around dumpsters, chute rooms, or compactors.
• Returning all equipment to its designated location after service completion.
• Additional tasks may include replacing bags at pet waste stations, collecting bagged pet waste, and managing community waste bins near doors or common areas such as pools and other amenities.
• At the end of your shift, you will check out using our app.
• This position requires extensive walking and, in some cases, climbing stairs. Some communities may also require the use of a personal open bed pickup truck.
• This role is not just about maintaining cleanliness but also about enhancing resident satisfaction and promoting recycling practices.
• Assist with our Quality Assurance program by completing periodic audits of our nightly services
• Assist with training new technicians and help develop their skills

Qualifications & Requirements

(Valid documentation included but not limited to Auto Liability Insurance and Driver's license must be maintained.)
