Job Highlights :
SLUCare Physician Group, a member of SSM Health Department of Radiology is seeking a dynamic IR physician interested to join a collegial group of 10 IR faculty and 6 Advanced Physicians.
The IR group covers 4 hospitals and 2 clinics including St. Louis University Hospital (Level 1 trauma center and transplant center), Community Hospital (PAD, UFE and kyho / vertebroplasty), Children Hospital (400+ cases including VM clinic) and VA hospital.
Each physician will be assigned to cover one or two hospitals. We have robust IR clinic 4 days a week and cover every breadth of IR services.
We also have 4 Research Nurses and we run clinical trials.
Physician with PAD experience, pediatric IR, Neuro, interest for clinical trials and other unique skill set will be given priority.
It is important that the faculty should be committed to teaching residents and medical students. We have ACGME accredited Integrated and Independent IR residents.
We have more than 4000 clinic visits, covering more than 9000 procedures a year. That includes more than 50+ TIPS, 100 + Y90, 200 + ablations, 50 + PE thrombectomy / thrombolysis, PAE, UFE, vertebroplasty / kyphoplasty, vein ablations, peripheral artery disease, nerve ablations, etc.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements :
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for obtaining call coverage by other medical staff members for holidays, vacations and other time off.
- Responsible for the standard of practice for patient population.
- Responsibility for maintaining a private office and all clinical decision making within the office during times of service.
- Acts as an advisor and consultant in the establishment of operational policies of the practice to include : (1) Purchasing and capital allocations;
- 2) Managed care plan participation; (3) Budget and practice expenses; (4) Medicare / Medicaid participation; (5) Billing and collection of professional fees;
6) Personnel management and related policies; (7) Risk management and quality assurance; and (8) Coding compliance.
- Responsible for after-hours call coverage for patients of the practice, in addition to office appointments.
- Participates in community service activities, including speaking engagements, writing and special clinical programs as reasonably requested.
- Responsible for all risk management, coding compliance and quality assurance activities and functions in and related to the practice.
- Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
