DESCRIPTION
UC San Diego Health is seeking detail-oriented and proactive Bed Management Coordinators to join our 24 / 7 Mission Control. This role is responsible for the administrative functions of patient transfer intake, bed planning, and placement. The Bed Management Coordinator ensures that patients are assigned to the most appropriate beds in a timely manner, supporting safe, efficient, and seamless patient flow across the hospital system.
Key Responsibilities :
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Three (3) years of relevant experience in hospital operations, patient flow, bed management, or related administrative / clinical support role.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across clinical and non-clinical teams.
Proficiency with hospital information systems, bed management / tracking platforms.
Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
Demonstrate a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS
This is a 24 / 7 Command Center operation. Candidates must be available for variable shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
Pay Transparency Act
Annual Full Pay Range : $57,399 - $71,347 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent : $27.49 - $34.17
Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
