Description : Primary Purpose :
The primary purpose of the Foreman is to be responsible for supervising crews on a construction project, from start to finish, including personnel, prioritizing work, quality and customer requirements.
Principal Duties and Accountabilities :
- Organizes, supervises, leads, and trains employees to complete projects within established guidelines and time frames.
- Directing personnel from start to finish on project and prioritizing work.
- Read and follow plans, material lists and guidelines and applies necessary timelines.
- Complies with all company policies and procedures and safety requirements, including crewmember discipline and documentation.
- Enforces all company safety policies and procedures and conducts regular tailgate safety meetings / toolbox talks and enforces all client-required safety policies and procedures.
- Mark up as-built drawings daily.
- Submits crewmembers’ timesheets to payroll by deadline.
- Fulfills all regular and advanced installation / construction duties, including project layout.
- Call for code-enforcement inspections.
- Completes required paperwork in a timely manner.
- Respond to respond to incidents and complete all necessary documentation timely.
- Attends operations meetings as required.
- Expedite tools, equipment, and materials to ensure that workers stay in the work area.
- Provide installation instruction to the workers by detailed verbal explanation or detailed sketches.
- Perform duties as instructed by supervisor.
Requirements :
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
Minimum of 10 years construction experience in similar construction.Must exhibit leadership skills; that motivate, build respect and express a firm but fair attitude when directing the workers.Informed and committed to the implementation and enforcement of MCC’s safety programs and OSHA regulations.Must possess organizational, communication, and supervisory skills to improve the team.EOE M / F / Vet / Disabled Employer.
