Salary : Up to $105,000
Our client is an esteemed 5-star resort located in Washington, DC, renowned for delivering exceptional guest experiences and providing luxurious accommodations.
They are looking for a Chief Engineer to join their team.
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage and maintain all aspects of the hotel including electrical, plumbing, HVAC and kitchen equipment
- Ensure all maintenance and repair requests are completed in an efficient manner in line with company policies
- Support the recruitment, training and development of team members
- Alongside the department director, manage a strong team
- Report and document all maintenance requests and action items
- Schedule and coordinate appropriate downtime to effectively perform preventative maintenance on all equipment
- Coordinate and work closely with external vendors for major maintenance repairs as required
- Comply with all legislative regulations relating to maintenance and safety
Ideal Assistant Chief Engineer :
- Proven experience in a similar role
- Luxury hotel experience is preferred
- Technical background
- Can successfully lead a team
- Superb organisational and time-management skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks
- Relevant degree is preferred
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships with vendors
