- Perform dental hygiene procedures, including dental cleanings, scaling, and root planning
- Take and develop dental x-rays and perform other diagnostic tests
- Assess patients' oral health and provide appropriate treatment recommendations
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide as needed
- Document patient information accurately in electronic medical records
- Assist the dentist during procedures, including charting and passing instruments
- Follow infection control protocols to maintain a safe and clean dental office environment
