Job Summary of the Lead CT TechnologistThe Charge CT Technologist shall be responsible for the daily operation of the CT Department. Monitors and directs all technical functions, which includes efficient utilization of equipment and human resources based upon patient load. Optimizes the use of radiation by utilizing the concepts of Image Gently, Image Wisely and the American College of Radiology. Ensures the staff is trained and competent. Maintains Performance Improvement and Quality Control activities. Responsible for performing CT procedures in accordance with standards and practice set forth by American Registry of Radiologic Technologist and Hospital Policies and Procedures. The Charge CT Technologist demonstrates knowledge of the human structure and functions, patient care / safety, positioning, principles of radiographic sciences, radiation protection, medication safety (contrast) and specialized techniques.
